19th Annual Craftsbury Weekend
Craftsbury Outdoor Center
Craftsbury , Vermont
February 3-5, 2012

In the heart of Vermont's unspoiled Northeast Kingdom, you'll find some of the finest cross-country skiing in New England. Located on a high rolling plateau, the Craftsbury Outdoor Center often gets more snow than other locations. Whether you’re an experienced cross-country or backcountry skier or snowshoer, or a novice in the world of snow sports, you’re sure to enjoy this popular family-friendly GSW weekend.

Skiing and Snowshoeing

Craftsbury has some of the best skiing in the east! Over 100 km of trails wind through pristine Vermont scenery providing both classical and skate skiing for all ability levels. Don’t feel as though you’re really skiing unless you’re in the backcountry on untracked terrain? No worries! The Catamount Trail, a backcountry trail which spans the entire length of Vermont from Massachusetts to Canada, travels through the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. And don’t forget the 20 km of snowshoeing trails at the Center that let you explore winter at an unhurried pace. Lessons are available, as are ski and snowshoe rentals (at very reasonable rates!). Several downhill ski areas are within an hour’s drive.
